Allomak Limited ASX Announcement
ALLOMAK EXPANDS IN GROWING LPG MARKET
Allomak Limited (ASX:AMA) today announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire the operations of LP Gas 1 Australia. LP Gas 1 Australia was established in 1985 and has 64 employees across 3 locations in Victoria and New South Wales. It has benefited from consistent annual growth and is a market leader and innovator in the field of LP Gas conversions.
Mr Rob Allan, Managing Director of Allomak, said, “Building on the initial strategic investment of Dual LPG, the acquisition of LP Gas 1 Australia extends Allomak's capabilities in this important market, in particular adding the ability to convert light and heavy vehicles as well as provide LP gas servicing and maintenance programs.
With the price of crude oil reaching record levels this month we believe pressure on local petrol prices will continue to drive growth in the LPG sector. The addition of LP Gas 1 Australia will make Allomak a market leader in the LPG conversion space, and the group is very well poised to participate in further industry expansion over the next couple of years.
Completion is expected to take place prior to the end of the 2008 calendar year and after integration costs is expected to contribute up to $500,000 EBIT in the current financial year.”
Mr Damien Arena, the Managing Director of LP Gas 1 Australia said: "My team and I are excited to join a market leading group like Allomak. With 65,000 conversions in our history and 75 conversions happening weekly through our links to dealer and fleet networks, along with Dual, we are looking forward to being part of the dominant LP gas conversion group in Australia.
The combination of LP Gas 1 Australia’s long standing technical and industry experience with Allomak's financial and strategic expertise is an attractive proposition for market growth.”
Allomak also today completed the acquisition of the minority interest in Dual LPG Pty Limited, first announced to the market on 17 August 2007.
Allomak advises that the acquisition earnings multiples of both transactions, based on the expected performance from LP Gas 1 Australia and Dual LPG in FY2008, are within the parameters of previous acquisitions and within the previously advised target range. The acquisition payments will be a combination of cash and Allomak equity, the latter component being subject to voluntary escrow provisions.
