Market Update: Gemini Integration On Track and Management Strengthened

The Directors of AMA Group Limited (AMA or the Company) are pleased to announce that the integration of The Gemini Group (Gemini) within the Company’s panel business is proceeding as planned. The Company has witnessed a positive impact from synergy opportunities identified as part of the acquisition. Whilst there are further synergy benefits to be extracted, the business efficiencies to date have manifested given the increased size and scope of the panel operations and are across a number of different areas, including spare parts and consumables.

As part of the Gemini acquisition, the executive management structure of AMA has been substantially strengthened. Andy Hopkins, formerly the Executive Chairman of Gemini, is Chief Executive Officer of the Company’s panel operations and has been appointed to the Board of Directors. Ashley Killick was appointed Chief Financial Officer of AMA in September 2015. The Board of Directors was further strengthened with the appointments of Brian Austin and Leith Nicholson as Non-Executive Directors in December 2015.

AMA Chairman Ray Malone said, 'As the Company continues to grow in scale and complexity, it is crucial to our continued success that the breadth and experience of management and Directors evolve in parallel with the business. The management team is focused on maximising all the business efficiencies and ensuring the Company is well resourced on all levels to take advantage of the exciting future for the group as the largest individual operator in the panel space within Australia. Whilst there is more work to be done to fully integrate the Gemini business, we are optimistic about the earnings outlook for the Company’.
