FORMER DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER JOHN ANDERSON

JOINS ALLOMAK BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Allomak Limited (ASX:AMA) today announced the appointment of former deputy prime minister The Hon John Anderson as a non-executive director,.

As the former Minister for Transport and Regional Services, Mr Anderson will bring significant insight into the political and regulatory aspects impacting Allomak’s industry, and complements the skills and experience of existing board members.

Allomak Chairman Mr Anthony McLellan said; “We are privileged to have Mr Anderson join our Board as a non-executive director and see his decision as a strong endorsement of the opportunities addressed by Allomak’s business model and strategy.

“Mr Anderson’s understanding of the political and social agenda surrounding the future of motoring in Australia will be of particular benefit to our LPG Conversion and Diesel Test Australia businesses,” Mr McLellan said.

Mr Anderson said; “This is one of just two public board appointments that I have decided to take up and follows careful consideration of a number of private sector opportunities presented to me over the past several months.

“Transport and the automotive sector are obviously of great interest to me and I believe Allomak is well positioned to continue its growth in the rapidly consolidating automotive aftermarket industry.

“Since Allomak listed last August the group has progressed to becoming a national brand with market leadership and I am looking forward to providing insight and direction to the Company’s future success,”

Mr Anderson stressed that this appointment will not impact his ability to fully discharge the responsibilities to his electorate prior to the forthcoming federal election.
