ACTIVITY:
Revenues remained satisfactory at the end of September 2008, up 23% from end September 2007. On a like-for-like basis, at end September, revenues increased by 19.2% (19.8% in France, 17.1% abroad).
In the third quarter, organic growth hit 15.6% (17.8% in France, 9.4% internationally).
The Alten Group had more than 11,800 employees at the end of September (11,350 at end June). In the third quarter, Alten continued its dynamic recruitment policy to keep up with staff turnover and growth.
ACQUISITIONS:
In France, Alten bought a consultancy firm with high expertise in Microsoft technology, consolidated as of 1st July 2008, (80 consultants, annual sales of €7.5m).
In Spain, Alten bought two information technology companies:
- a company with 270 consultants, annual sales of €22m, consolidated as of 1st October 2008,
- a company with 40 consultants, annual sales of €3m, in November.
In Sweden, Alten finalised in November the acquisition of a company specialised in mechanics, electronics and scientific calculation.
2008 OUTLOOK
Despite the current economic climate and thanks to the stronger third-quarter growth dynamic, Alten has raised its organic growth target to around 16% and plans to continue its targeted acquisition policy.
