ALS Limited announces successful completion of the retail shortfall bookbuild component of its 1 for 11 fully underwritten pro-rata accelerated renounceable entitlement offer

ALS Limited (ASX: ALQ) ("ALS") announces today the successful completion of the retail shortfall bookbuild ("Retail Bookbuild") component of its fully underwritten pro-rata accelerated renounceable entitlement offer (with retail entitlements trading) ("Entitlement Offer"). This completes the Entitlement Offer as announced on 16 July 2013, to raise approximately $246 million through the issue of new ALS ordinary shares ("New Shares") at $7.80 per New Share (“Offer Price”).

The approximately 3.89 million entitlements sold represented the retail entitlements not taken up by eligible retail shareholders and the entitlements that would otherwise have been offered to ineligible retail shareholders under the retail component of the Entitlement Offer ("Retail Entitlement Offer").

The total amount to be paid by successful participants in the Retail Bookbuild was $8.75 (being the Offer Price of $7.80 plus $0.95 per entitlement). As such, retail shareholders who elected not to take up their entitlements and ineligible retail shareholders will receive $0.95 for each entitlement not taken up and sold into the bookbuild ("Retail Premium").

The scheduled settlement date for New Shares under the Retail Entitlement Offer and the Retail Bookbuild is Tuesday, 20 August 2013. The New Shares are expected to be issued on Wednesday, 21 August 2013 and commence trading on market on Thursday, 22 August 2013. The Retail Premium is expected to be paid on or about Friday, 23 August 2013.
