ALS appoints Non-Executive Director
ALS Limited (ASX: ALQ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Catharine Farrow as an independent Non-Executive Director effective 24 March 2025.
ALS Chairman Nigel Garrard welcomed Ms Farrow, commenting:
“Catharine’s deep understanding of the mining industry globally adds to the depth and breadth of the ALS Board.
“During her 30-year career in the mining sector, Catharine has had success in academic, technical and corporate roles spanning both executive and a number of non-executive roles. Her focus and experience with innovation and technology is also well aligned with ALS’ priorities.
“This appointment reinforces the ALS board’s focus on understanding the needs of some of its biggest customers.”

Catharine Farrow: Professional Background
Catharine Farrow is a senior mining executive with more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of exploration, development, technical services, acquisitions, company building, operations, board governance and innovation/technology. Her experience ranges from the High Arctic to equatorial environments in base, critical and precious metals.
She is an experienced director of public companies (including companies trading on the TSX, LSE, NYSE) as well as being a professional advisor in technical, governance, innovation and technology, organisational structure and as an expert witness.
Ms Farrow is currently a Non-Executive Director on the board of Franco-Nevada Corporation, Eldorado Gold Corporation and Exiro Mineral Corp.
Ms Farrow’s executive career includes the role of Founding CEO and member of the Board of Directors of TMAC Resources Inc a public mining company based in Toronto where she achieved commercial production in less than 4.5 years and a market capitalisation of greater than $1bn from seed financing.
Ms Farrow has also held a broad range of management roles within the mining sector including Chief Operating Officer, Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President Corporate Development and Technical Services (including joint ventures, M&A opportunities, and strategy).
Ms Farrow holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) (Geology), a Masters of Science (Geology), PhD (Earth Sciences) and holds an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration from Laurentian University.
