ALS Executive Management changes

Resignation of Chief Financial Officer

ALS Limited (ASX Code: ALQ) advises that after five years of service, Mr. Luis Damasceno, will be stepping away from his role as Chief Financial Officer to pursue other business opportunities with his last day being 19 January 2024.

ALS CEO & Managing Director, Malcolm Deane said: “Luis has provided strong leadership, financial governance, and stewardship during his time with ALS. We extend our gratitude for his invaluable contribution and commitment to our company’s success during his tenure, and we wish him the very best in his future endeavours."

“Michael Williams, ALS’ Group Finance Director & Treasurer, who has worked at ALS for 20 years, will assume the role of Acting CFO from 19 January 2024, working closely with Luis to ensure a seamless transition that provides certainty and continuity for the ALS team and its clients,” Mr. Deane said.

A process for selecting a new CFO, assessing internal and external candidates, will be undertaken in conjunction with an external advisory firm.

Appointment of Chief Strategy Officer

ALS also announces that Heike Truöl has been appointed as ALS’ Chief Strategy Officer.

ALS CEO & Managing Director, Malcolm Deane said: “Heike is a dynamic strategic and commercial leader with over two decades of expertise in delivering results-driven strategies and driving performance, innovation and transformation for large global organisations.

“She has successfully led corporate and operational teams across Europe, Australia, Africa and Asia, spanning technology, resources and management consulting, and will bring valuable insight to our company as we advance our strategy and create value for our stakeholders,” Mr Deane said.

Heike was appointed as the Chief Strategy Officer for ALS on 1 November 2023. She was previously Chief Commercial Officer for MineHub Technologies, a TSX-V listed technology company, and Executive Head, Commercial Services for Anglo American where she worked for 11 years. During that time, Heike helped evolve the strategy function, established the marketing business and had P&L responsibility for Anglo American’s global shipping activity.
