Almarai announces financial results for nine months ended 30 September 2006.

Almarai Company (Almarai) today announced its results for the period ended 30 September 2006.

Net profit for the nine months increased by 20% to SAR 334.9 million compared to the same period in the prior year. The net profit for third quarter increased by 21.5%to SAR 122.6 million compared to the same period last year.

Commenting on these results, His Highness Prince Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al Kabeer stated:

?This strong result is driven by the strong growth in sales, which confirms the success of the company's marketing and distribution strategies together with the optimal utilization of its resources.?

Sales for the nine months increased by 32.2% to SAR 2039.3 million compared to the same period in the prior year. Operating profit for the period increased by 22.6% to SAR 386.4 million compared to the same period in the prior year.

The earning per share (EPS) for the period ended 30 September 2006 increased by 20% to 3.35 Riyals compared to the same period in the prior year.
