AC-Service Posts Big Jump in Earnings Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– AC-Service Posts Big Jump in Earnings Earnings per share at EUR 0.19. EBIT climbs to EUR 1.4 million. IT Outsourcing revenues surge 28%. Strong balance sheet. Stuttgart, 27 March 2002 AC-Service closed the 2001 financial year with an annual net profit of EUR 1.0 million (after a prior-year loss of EUR -1.7 million, continued divisions) for earnings per share of EUR 0.19 (EUR -0.31). Even the earnings before taxes (EBT) of EUR 1.5 million (EUR 0.1 million, continued divisions) and the operational earnings (EBIT) of EUR 1.4 million (EUR 0.2 million, continued divisions) increased impressively in relation to the year’s sales of EUR 47.2 million (EUR 41.0 million, continued divisions). This 15% jump in sales is due mostly to SAP-based outsourcing and consulting services provided by the IT Outsourcing business division, which itself grew 28% to post consolidated segment sales revenues of EUR 24.5 million (EUR 19.2 million). There were 320 (302) full-time equivalents employed as of 31 December 2001. The inflow of funds from operating activities climbed to EUR 5.7 million (EUR 0.4 million) thanks to a business policy geared on profitability and cash flow. AC- Service enjoys a balance sheet that’s strong and healthy and includes cash and cash equivalents of EUR 6.4 million (EUR 1.7 million). Equity totals EUR 25.4 million (EUR 24.5 million) and makes up 62% (59%) of the balance sheet’s EUR 41.1 million (EUR 41.4 million) total. The Board of Directors expects this favorable business performance, which improved from quarter to quarter during 2001, to continue throughout the year 2002.
