AC-Service AG english
Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– AC-Service Continues Gaining in Sales and Profit Sales Up 20% in Second Quarter. Positive Improvements in Operating Results. AC-Service finished the second quarter with sales gaining 20% to EUR 11.5 million (EUR 9.6 million), a marked increase in EBITDA to EUR 1.8 million from last year’s EUR 0.9 and an EBIT of EUR 0.3 million (EUR -0.2 million) in its continued business divisions. This growth in sales is due almost exclusively to the IT Outsourcing division’s SAP-based activities, which surged 40% reaching revenues totaling EUR 6.0 million (EUR 4.3 million) in the second quarter. Included here are sales of EUR 0.7 million (none in prior year) from the equity interest in the SAP consulting company Process Partner AG. The segment results from the operational business divisions total EUR 1.4 million (EUR 0.6 million) for the second quarter and are significantly better than those of last year. The rise in unallocated group expenditures to EUR 1.1 million (EUR 0.8 million) is attributable to special charges of EUR 0.3 million for a study of a strategic acquisition project, which the Board of Directors ultimately decided not to pursue. The tax expenses attributable to the continued divisions amount to 83% (-142%) of the EUR 0.3 million (EUR -0.2 million) in earnings before taxes, because losses incurred by individual group companies still may not be applied for tax purposes. After deductions for minority interests, the continued business divisions posted a break-even net result of EUR 0.0 million (EUR -0.5 million) along with earnings per share (IAS) of EUR 0.00 (EUR -0.10). The number of full-time-equivalent employees in the continued divisions totaled 318 (267) as of 30 June 2001. With its focus on outsourcing services, AC-Service holds a mix of sound and future-oriented business divisions. The Board of Directors will continue to put the focus on improving profitability, in order to further reinforce the turnaround as the company moves towards positive earnings and results.
