Robust Business Developments Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Robust Business Developments Large influx of funds. Third-quarter sales up 16%. EBITDA doubled. Turnaround in earnings per share. Stuttgart, 14 November 2001: With a significant rise in cash and cash equivalents from EUR 1.7 million (31. Dec 00) to EUR 5.0 million (30. Sept 01) and positive developments in sales and earnings AC-Service underscores the shift toward building a healthy and profitable business. AC-Service finished third quarter 2001 with a 16% sales grew to EUR 11.3 million (prior year EUR 9.7 million) in the continued operations. The EBITDA was doubled to EUR 2.0 million (EUR 1.0 million) and the EBIT rose to EUR 0.3 million (EUR -0.3 million). This increase in sales is attributable almost exclusively to the IT Outsourcing division’s SAP-based activities, which grew by 23% and generated third-quarter revenues totaling EUR 5.7 million (EUR 4.7 million). This figure includes revenues of EUR 0.5 million (EUR 0.5 million) from the interest in the SAP consulting company Process Partner AG. The tax expense on the EUR 0.5 million (EUR -0.3 million) in pretax earnings of the third quarter has been markedly reduced due in part to intragroup distributions made by the subsidiaries to the group parent. After deductions for minority interests, third quarter 2001 shows clearly positive earnings of EUR 0.5 million (EUR -1.4 million) on the period for the continued divisions, which led to IAS earnings per share of EUR 0.09 (EUR -0.26). The continued operations had 325 (prior year 297) full-time- equivalent employees as of 30 September 2001. The first 9 months of 2001 generated sales of EUR 34.3 million (EUR 29.4 million), an EBITDA of EUR 5.5 million (EUR 4.1 million), an EBIT of EUR 1.0 million (EUR 0.7 million), period earnings of EUR 0.4 million (EUR -1.3 million) and earnings per share of EUR 0.07 (EUR -0.24) in continued operations. With a focus on outsourcing services AC-Service has a portfolio of solid and promising business divisions. The Board of Directors expects this favorable business trend to continue.
