Mr. Jarosław Mastalerz

Since April 22, 2024, he has been the President of the Management Board of Powszechny Zakład Ubezpieczeń na Życie SA.

An experienced manager who has been holding key positions on the boards of the largest international financial institutions in Poland for over 25 years, both in the insurance and banking sector. During this time, he was responsible for numerous business functions in the areas of finance, operations, strategy, marketing, and IT and technology. On the insurance market, he held among others the positions of Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Management Board of Zurich Polska (1998-2003), then he was associated with the Generali Group in Poland (2003-2006), where as a Member of the Management Board he also held the position of Financial Director. In 2007, he was the founder and CEO of the first Polish digital insurer – BRE Ubezpieczenia. Then, for 10 years, he joined mBank Group (formerly BRE Bank), where, as Vice President, he was responsible, among others, for retail banking in Poland, Czechia, and Slovakia, and then also for operations and IT, as well as supervising the technology, security, and real estate divisions.

For the last 7 years, he has been associated with the venture capital market, where, as a managing partner, he supervised the activities of the Corporate VC mAccelerator fund.

He is a graduate of the Faculty of Foreign Trade at the University of Lodz.

Mr. Jan Zimowicz

Since April 12, 2024, he has been a Member of the Management Board of Powszechny Zakład Ubezpieczeń SA.

A manager with nearly fifteen years of experience as a member of the management board or in managerial positions at leading insurance companies and banks belonging to international capital groups, such as Aegon, Nationale-Nederlanden, and Credit Agricole.

He specializes in sales and marketing management, development of insurance products, executing merger and acquisition processes. He has rich experience in creating business strategies for large companies, digitization and implementation of extensive IT systems gained at Oracle and Accenture. In his professional work, he tries to combine comprehensive knowledge and skills from various sectors: finance, technology, and consulting.

Author of many publications in the sector-specific media and a frequent participant of panels, as well as a member of the Insurance Forum Program Council. He has extensive expert knowledge and experience in the field of insurance market rules, legal regulations, and supervisory guidelines. A long-term member of the Life Insurance Committee at the Polish Insurance Association.

He is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics in the field of International Economic and Political Relations and the Warsaw University of Technology at the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology. He holds an Executive MBA diploma issued by the Business School of the Warsaw University of Technology in cooperation with HEC Paris, London Business School, NHH Norwegian School of Economics. He also completed a senior management program at Singularity University in Mountain View, California.

Mr. Maciej Gutowski

Since 2001, he has been inscribed on the list of attorneys-at-law of the Wielkopolska Bar Association. He is an attorney-at-law at "Kancelaria Gutowski i Wspólnicy Adwokacka Spółka Komandytowa" law firm registered in Poznań specializing in the field of legal representation in civil, commercial, and criminal-business trials, as well as legal services for business entities and legal consultancy. Since 2010, he has been an arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw.

He advises on civil and commercial law as well as criminal-business law for key and the largest companies in Poland. He represents key companies in negotiations, transactions, and crisis situations, including commercial litigation before courts and arbitration courts.

He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań in 1996. In 2001, he obtained the degree of Doctor of Law, with a specialization in civil law, on the basis of his dissertation titled "Legal ratio of the options". In 2007 he was awarded the degree of habilitated Doctor of Law on the basis of his dissertation titled " Invalidity of the Legal Act". He was awarded the title of Professor in 2015 on the basis of his book " Ineffectiveness of the Legal Act". He completed research internships at Southwest Minnesota State University (USA) and Central European University in Budapest (Hungary), where he obtained an LL.M (Master of Law) degree in International Business Law. He is employed as a full professor at the Department of Civil, Commercial, and Insurance Law at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.

Author and co-author of around 400 scientific publications in the field of civil, commercial, and interdisciplinary law, books on invalidity, rebuttal, ineffectiveness of legal transactions, legal representation, interpretation and application of law in proceedings, defectiveness of loan agreements, many other publications in the field of civil law, and editor and co-author of the three-volume Commentary to the Civil Code from the series Beck's Large Commentaries (2016, 2018, 2021).
