algoWatt: entrata in esercizio dell'impianto di bonifica acque di falda e di trattamento rifiuti liquidi industriali Purify

• Il nuovo asset ambientale è attivo in Umbria, nel parco eco-industriale di Nera Montoro (TR) ed è autorizzato al trattamento di 438.000 mc/anno di acque di falda e 58.000 ton/anno di rifiuti liquidi

algoWatt, GreenTech Solutions Company quotata sul mercato telematico azionario (MTA) di Borsa Italiana, annuncia che, in data odierna, è entrata in esercizio la piattaforma Purify Srl, JV tra la stessa algoWatt e ATP Project and Constructions Srl, titolare di impianti di depurazione di rifiuti fluidi industriali e bonifica di acque di falda in località Nera Montoro (TR) in Umbria.

La messa in esercizio della piattaforma impiantistica, che ha comportato un investimento complessivo pari a circa Euro 9 milioni, conferma l'obiettivo di algoWatt volto a valorizzare le attività di gestione industriale degli impianti di recupero di risorse marginali, anche attraverso il consolidamento delle partnership con primari investitori italiani e internazionali del settore green e circular economy, come previso dal Piano di risanamento e rilancio del Gruppo.

Il presidente e amministratore delegato di algoWatt, Stefano Neri, ha dichiarato:

"Completiamo un intervento messo in cantiere prima della fusione tra TerniEnergia e Softeco, che ha originato algoWatt, in linea con gli obiettivi industriali che ci eravamo prefissi. L'entrata in esercizio dell'impianto completa la dotazione impiantistica della green industry di Nera Montoro, in Umbria, che rappresenta una piattaforma integrata (rifiuti liquidi, biodigestione e compostaggio di FORSU, trattamento pneumatici fuori uso) dal valore non solo economico-finanziario ma anche strategico. Si tratta, infatti, di un'area vocata all'industria ambientale, baricentrica rispetto al mercato italiano del recupero delle risorse e connotata da un forte appeal per player specializzati nella green e circular economy".

L'amministratore di ATP Srl, ing. Pierluigi Ruopoli, ha affermato:

L'impianto Purify

La nuova piattaforma impiantistica, autorizzata dalla Regione Umbria, integra due diverse linee di trattamento:

1) Bonifica acque di falda (TAF). Purify gestisce, il trattamento acque di falda, in adeguamento alle prescrizioni regionali del progetto di bonifica del sito di Nera Montoro, in provincia di Terni, per una capacità complessiva di 438.000 mc/anno. sito industriale di Nera Montoro, per un trattamento complessivo pari a 50m3/h.

2) Trattamento rifiuti liquidi industriali (TRL). È la nuova sezione dedicata al trattamento dei rifiuti liquidi con una capacità di 58.000 t/anno che prevede due linee di processo: (a) il trattamento biologico a fanghi attivi per la rimozione di nitriti, nitrati e azoto ammoniacale; e (b) il trattamento chimico fisico per flottazione e o evaporazione, con due evaporatori sotto vuoto a tre stadi (2.500 litri/ora cadauno) per la depurazione delle acque a più alta concentrazione di inquinanti.

Il contesto competitivo

La piattaforma impiantistica Purify opera in un ambito territoriale ad elevata domanda di trattamento di rifiuti liquidi industriali. Rivolgendosi ad un contesto sovraregionale, può fornire la risposta ideale per quelle imprese che mettono al centro della propria attività la valorizzazione e il corretto trattamento delle risorse ambientali. Per quanto riguarda la sola Umbria - regione nella quale non esiste alcun impianto di trattamento simile - da una analisi dei MUD delle aziende, risulta che la domanda di trattamento di rifiuti liquidi supera del doppio la capacità autorizzata a Purify. Gli impianti attivi nelle regioni limitrofe di Lazio, Toscana, Marche e Abruzzo non sono dotati di tutte le linee di processo della piattaforma Purify. Il bacino di conferimento, anche in considerazione della vicinanza del casello autostradale, può estendersi fino ad una distanza di 300-400 Km, specialmente verso sud, colmando un consistente gap impiantistico in questo settore dell'Italia centromeridionale.

Il revamping dell'impianto TAF, invece, consente l'adeguamento normativo della bonifica delle acque di falda, contribuendo in maniera significativa alla messa in sicurezza di un polo storico dell'industria del Centro Italia, precedentemente di proprietà del Gruppo Eni.

algoWatt: put into operation the Purify groundwater remediation and industrial liquid waste treatment plant

• The new environmental asset put into service in Umbria, in the eco-industrial park of Nera Montoro (TR) and is authorized to treat 438,000 cubic meters per year of groundwater and 58,000 tons per year of liquid waste.

algoWatt, GreenTech Solutions company listed on Borsa Italiana's electronic stock exchange (MTA) announces that, today, the platform Purify Srl, JV between algoWatt and ATP Project and Constructions Srl, owner of industrial fluid waste treatment and groundwater remediation plants in Nera Montoro (TR), Umbria, has put into operation.

The start-up of the platform, which involved a total investment of approximately Euro 9 million, confirms the goal of algoWatt aimed at enhancing the asset management of marginal resource recovery plants, also through the consolidation of partnerships with leading Italian and international investors in the green and circular economy sector, as envisaged in the Group's Recovery and Relaunch Plan.

AlgoWatt's Chairman and CEO, Stefano Neri, said:

"We put into operation an innovative plant, projected and started before the merger between TerniEnergia and Softeco, which originated algoWatt, in line with the industrial targets we had set ourselves. The commissioning of the plant completes the equipment of the green industry factory in Nera Montoro (TR) Umbria, which represents an integrated platform (liquid waste, biodigestion and composting of FORSU, treatment of end-oflife tyres) with economic-financial and strategic value. It is, in fact, an industrial area dedicated to the environmental industry, barycentric with respect to the Italian market for the recovery of resources and characterized by a strong appeal for players specializing in green and circular economy".

The Purify plant

The new plant platform, authorized by the Umbria Region, integrates two different treatment lines:

1) Groundwater remediation (TAF). Purify manages the groundwater treatment, in compliance with the regional requirements of the remediation project of the Nera Montoro site, in the province of Terni, for a total capacity of 438,000 cubic meters per year. biological plants, a complex system consisting of 48 wells for the drainage of treated water and a monitoring system consisting of 95 piezometers placed to control the water table of the Nera Montoro industrial site, for a total treatment of 50m3/h.

2) Treatment of industrial liquid waste (TRL). This is the new section dedicated to the treatment of liquid waste with a capacity of 58,000 t/year that includes two process lines: (a) biological treatment with activated sludge for the removal of nitrites, nitrates and ammoniacal nitrogen; and (b) chemicalphysical treatment by flotation or evaporation, with two three-stage vacuum evaporators (2,500 litres/hour each) for the purification of water with the highest concentration of pollutants.

The competitive environment

The Purify plant platform operates in an area with high demand for the treatment of industrial liquid waste. Addressing a supra-regional context, it can provide the ideal answer for those companies that place the enhancement and correct treatment of environmental resources as a target of their activities. As regards Umbria alone - a region where no similar treatment plant exists - an analysis of the companies' MUDs shows that demand for liquid waste treatment exceeds twice the authorised capacity of Purify. The plants operating in the neighbouring regions of Lazio, Tuscany, Marche and Abruzzo are not equipped with all the process lines of the Purify platform. The catchment area, also in consideration of the proximity of the highway exit, can extend up to a distance of 300-400 km, especially towards the south, filling a substantial plant gap in this sector of central-southern Italy.

The revamping of the TAF plant, on the other hand, makes it possible to adjust the regulations for the reclamation of groundwater, making a significant contribution to the safety of a historic industrial area in Central Italy, previously owned by the Eni Group.
