Alfa Laval – a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling – has won an order to supply heavy oil treatment systems to a power plant in Middle East. The order, booked in the Energy & Environment segment, has a value of approximately SEK 90 million and delivery is scheduled for 2013.
The Alfa Laval heavy oil treatment systems including various separators and heat exchangers will be installed in the power plant to treat the heavy fuel oil in order to make it suitable for use in the turbines.
"This is the single biggest order for our heavy fuel oil treatment systems and it confirms the increasing demand we see from the power industry", says Lars Renström, President and CEO of the Alfa Laval Group.
