Investee Company Update: GreenRoc Mining plc

Alba Mineral Resources plc (AIM: ALBA) notes the announcement today by its portfolio company, GreenRoc Mining plc ("GreenRoc") (AIM: GROC), in which Alba holds a 54% majority interest. 

The announcement by GreenRoc is set out below without material changes:

Board Change

GreenRoc Mining Plc (AIM: GROC), a company focused on the development of critical mineral projects in Greenland, announces that Kirk Adams, CEO, has tendered his resignation from the Board. Mr Adams is stepping down for personal reasons. The Board of GreenRoc has accepted his resignation, with 6 May 2022 being his last day with the Company. Lars Brünner, Non-Executive Director, has taken over the role of CEO while the Company seeks to appoint a long-term successor to the post.

Chairman George Frangeskides said:

"I would like to thank Kirk for his stewardship of the Company since the IPO and to wish him every success in his future endeavours. 

"The Company is in excellent hands with Lars Brünner stepping up as interim CEO while we complete the process for appointing a permanent CEO.  Lars has a tremendous knowledge of and affinity to Greenland, allied to strong connections with key Greenlandic stakeholders.  He has also been heavily involved in the preparations for this summer's field programmes, including the planned EIA and SIA work activities.

"We will be announcing further details in respect of our forthcoming field work programmes in the coming days."
