Continued Construction and Procurement Program Success sees Wash-Hi Majaza Project on Track for Target Completion Date
Alara Resources Limited (ASX: AUQ), a base and precious metals explorer and developer with projects in Oman, is pleased to announce an update on the accelerated progress of construction and procurement activities for the Wash-hi Majaza Copper-Gold Project ( Project ). These activities have Alara on track to complete Project construction by November 2022.
Project Engineering
The placement of major plant and equipment procurement orders and the ready availability of key OEM equipment specifications has enabled the detailed engineering phase of the Project to be fast-tracked. The Company’s engineering consultants Debisikha Associates and Progesys are geared up for rapid progress in delivering on their work program (see Figure 1).

The Company’s 51% owned JV company Al Hadeetha Resources LLC ( AHRL ), the Project owner, has released the tender document for the project construction contract to potential bidders in Oman.
Major equipment procurement orders placed
Since our previous update AHRL has continued to draw down from its debt facility to finance equipment orders and contracts in Table 1, below. Procurement orders with a cumulative value of US$22.9M have been placed to date.

Site work progress – Camp construction
After a recent cyclone caused a temporary setback to planned construction, foundation work activities for the accommodation village are now nearing completion. Prefabricated camp structures are expected to arrive in next few days.

Access road construction well underway
The ground survey and initial ground levelling for the Project access road, connecting the site with nearby highways, has now also been completed.
