
Increased turnover and profitability for the first half of 2025
During the first half of 2025, in an environment with significant geopolitical and economic unrest, AKRITAS recorded improvement turnover and profitability.
Turnover increased by 6.3%, reaching €21.4 million compared to €20.1 million in the corresponding period of the previous year. This increase is mainly due to improved sales of melamine and tops, products that constitute the 96% of total turnover. Furthermore, the volume of quantities sold also increased by 14%, with a greater contribution from exports.
The gross profit margin also improved, reaching 18% compared to 17% in the previous period. The above upturn owing to the increase in turnover and enhanced productivity, despite the cost electricity during this time.
EBITDA ratio, influenced by the improvement in turnover and gross margin, amounted to a profit of €2.8 million compared to €2.5 million in the corresponding period of the previous year. Respectively, the net results after taxes ratio amounted to €570 thousand compared to €220 thousand in the corresponding six-month period of 2024, supported by lower financial costs. Also, the total borrowing cost of AKRITAS decreased by €1.3 million during this period.
For the second half of 2025, the global and European uncertainty, which powered by both economic and geopolitical developments, continues to be a concern. The company's management, monitoring all the evolutions, which is based its capital structure and efficient operation. Simultaneously, AKRITAS is progressing its green transformation, expecting to complete the investment in wood recycling and reuse in its production.
