DET NORSKE OLJESELSKAP ASA- DISCLOSURE OF SHAREHOLDINGS

As a result of the recent share issuance by Det

Norske Oljeselskap ASA pursuant to the merger between

Aker Exploration ASA and Det Norske Oljeselskap ASA

on 22 December 2009, the aggregate shareholding of

the funds managed by QVT Financial LP ("QVT") fell

below the 5% threshold. The funds managed by QVT

hold 1,177,214 common shares and bonds convertible

into 1,354,477 shares. Accordingly, QVT's funds

under management aggregately own a total of 2,531,691

shares, which is equal to approximately 2.25% of the

outstanding shares of Det Norske Oljeselskap ASA.
