The High Court in Bobigny today declined jurisdiction within the framework of the summary proceedings launched by Air France. These summary proceedings intended to authorize the Air France Chairman's use of arbitration to allow the implementation of measures planned within the Transform 2015 agreement for pilots.
The Court said that the clause on the Chairman's arbitration and its interpretation was not within the powers of the judge of the Court but of the trial judge, who "is the only one eligible to settle the question raised".
Air France management, while recalling that this interim action aimed to find a way out of a deadlock situation, takes note of this decision. Consequently, it will continue the proceedings with the High Court in Bobigny on the merits, with the aim of seeing the issue decided by the end of the summer.
Furthermore, management reaffirms the need to make rapid progress in the implementation of the Perform 2020 strategic plan by way of social dialogue.
