APPOINTMENT OF SENIOR INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR

The Boards of AIB Group plc and Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c. (together the "Group" or "AIB") resolved earlier to appoint Ms Elaine MacLean as Senior Independent Director with effect from the conclusion of the 2025 Annual General Meeting to be held on 1 May 2025. She will take over this responsibility from Ms Helen Normoyle whose intended retirement from the Boards of the Group with effect from 1 May 2025 was announced on 26 March 2025.

Ms MacLean has served as an independent non-executive Director of the Group since September 2019.

This announcement is made in accordance with the Euronext Listing Rule 6.1.5 and UK Listing Rule 9.6.11.
