APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR
AIB Group plc and Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c. (together, the "Group") are very pleased to announce the appointment of Fergal O'Dwyer as an independent non-executive Director. He will join the Board and the Board Audit Committee with immediate effect.
Fergal is a Chartered Accountant with significant experience in financial management, treasury, strategy, capital deployment and development. Fergal retired in 2020 from DCC plc, the Irish headquartered Business Support Services Group which is a FTSE100 constituent company, where he was an Executive Director in the role of Chief Financial Officer. He joined DCC plc in 1989 and was appointed to its Board in 2000.

The announcement is made in accordance with Rule 6.1.64 of Euronext Dublin's Listing Rules and Rule 9.6.11 of the London Stock Exchange's Listing Rules.
The Company confirms that there are no other matters requiring disclosure under Rule 6.1.66 of Euronext Dublin's Listing Rules/Rule 9.6.13 of the London Stock Exchange's Listing Rules relating to Fergal O'Dwyer.
