APPOINTMENT OF SENIOR INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR
The Boards of AIB Group plc and Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c. (together the "Group" or "AIB") today resolved to appoint Ms Carolan Lennon as Senior Independent Director with effect from the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting on 29 April 2020. She will take over this responsibility from Mr Tom Foley whose intended retirement from the Boards of the Group was announced on 20 March 2020. Ms Lennon has served as an independent non-executive Director of the Group since October 2016.
This announcement is made in accordance with the Euronext Listing Rule 6.1.64 and UK Listing Rule 9.6.11.
