Zaandam, the Netherlands, June 17, 2025 – Ahold Delhaize is pleased to announce the nomination of Wiebe Draijer for appointment as a new member to its Supervisory Board. This proposed appointment will be submitted to an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) scheduled on August 8, 2025, for a period starting immediately after the conclusion of the EGM. Subject to his appointment, Wiebe will also assume the role of Chair of the Supervisory Board, succeeding Peter Agnefjäll on October 1, 2025. Peter will step down from the Supervisory Board per October 1, 2025.
Peter joined the Ahold Delhaize Supervisory Board in April 2019 and has served as Chair since January 1, 2021. "It has been an honor to serve as Chair of Ahold Delhaize's Supervisory Board. In my role overseeing and advising the Management Board, I have supported the development of the new Growing Together strategy. I believe it is the right time to pass the baton to a new leader who can continue to guide and support the Management Board in executing this strategy. I am confident that we have found an excellent successor, and the company is well positioned to move into the next phase of its strategic journey," said Peter.
Wiebe Draijer brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role. Wiebe is an experienced CEO who most recently served as CEO and Chair of Rabobank from 2014 until 2022. He added: "I am excited to join Ahold Delhaize and take on the responsibilities of Chair of the Supervisory Board. I look forward to working with the Supervisory Board and Frans Muller and his leadership team to assist them in further strengthening our position in the market and driving the Growing Together strategy."
