ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE AUSTRALIAN SECURITIES EXCHANGE: 28[th] JUNE 2011

POTASH ATLANTICO CORP. SHAREHOLDERS APPROVE ACQUISITION OF ATLANTIC POTASH PROJECT

Potash and phosphate exploration and development company Aguia Resources Limited (ASX:AGR) is pleased to announce that the shareholders of Potash Atlantico Corp. (PAC) have overnight approved the acquisition of Potassio do Atlántico Ltda (PALTDA) by AGR.

PALTDA is a private Brazilian company which has a primary focus on potash exploration and development at its 100 per cent owned Atlantic Potash Project in the Sergipe Basin, North Eastern Brazil.

PALTDA has a total of 2,100km² of concessions in the region which currently hosts Brazil’s only producing potash mine, Vale’s Taquari-Vassouras underground mine. PALTDA’s Atlantic Potash Project is in close proximity to existing power, water and transport infrastructure. The Project is supported by data from 300 historical drill holes that reported multiple potash occurrences within the Sergipe Basin, and 32,000km of 2D seismic data that has been examined and further highlights the potential for the region to host significant potash deposits.

Aguia’s Managing Director Mr Simon Taylor said: “Our immediate priority is to commence a drilling program at the Atlantic Potash Project and we can now finalise drilling details with this approval by shareholders. The PALTDA team has continued to advance the project in readiness for the drilling through detailed 3D modelling of existing bore well and seismic data. Finalisation of our initial drill hole locations is complete and we look forward to announcing confirmation of our preferred drilling contractor and a start date.”

It is expected the acquisition of PALTDA will complete during this week, with further details on upcoming exploration activities in relation to the PALTDA assets to be announced in the coming weeks.
