AGRANA with structural measures in the Sugar segment; closure of one plant in Austria and one in the Czech Republic

At its meeting today, the AGRANA Supervisory Board approved the termination of sugar production at its site in Leopoldsdorf im Marchfeld, Austria, and at its site in Hrušovany, Czech Republic, with immediate effect.

In Austria, AGRANA's entire domestic sugar production will be concentrated at the Tulln site. This measure is an important part of the strategic realignment of the Group, with the aim of achieving long-term stabilisation and competitiveness of domestic sugar production.

In the Czech Republic, too, sugar production will be concentrated at a single site, in Opava.

The Leopoldsdorf site will remain in place as a logistics hub.
