The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Following approval by the responsible competition regulators, the framework agreement concluded on 3 June 2003 regarding AGRANA,s acquisition of a stake in Steirerobst via Steirische Agrarbeteiligungsgesellschaft m.b.H. entered into force on 27 October 2003 (closing). As a consequence of the control thus acquired, the announced compulsory offer on the part of Steirische Agrarbeteiligungsgesellschaft m.b.H. will be reported to the takeovers commission in the legally required form within the legal time limit of not more than 20 stock-exchange trading days. The offer price, based on the average price of the share over the past six month, will be EUR 27.81 per no-par share.
