April 2016 traffic figures

In April 2016, Paris Aéroport welcomed 8.2 million passengers, an increase of 4.1% compared to April 2015. 5.5 million passengers travelled through Paris-Charles de Gaulle (+2.1%) and 2.7 million through Paris-Orly (+8.4%). As a reminder, in 2015, traffic was impacted by an air navigation strike on 8 and 10 April.

  • International traffic (excluding Europe) was up by 1.3%, with a growth in the following destinations: the Middle East (+5.2%), Latin America (+5.1%), French Overseas Territories (+2.9%), Africa (+2.6%), North America (+1.2%). Only Asia-Pacific is down (-6.4%);
  • European traffic (excluding France) was up (+6.6%);
  • Traffic within France was up (+4.3%);
  • The number of connecting passengers increased by 2.9%. The connecting rate raised to 21.7%, up by 0.2 points compared to April 2015.

Since the beginning of the year, Paris Aéroport passenger traffic grew by 2.5%, with a total of 29.2 million passengers. The number of connecting passengers has risen by 3.5%. The connecting rate raised to 25.2%, up by 0.4 point.

Passenger traffic at TAV Airports, 38%-owned by Groupe ADP, increased by 2.9%(1) in April 2016 and by 5.2%(1) since the beginning of the year.

Passenger traffic at Santiago, 45%-owned by Groupe ADP, increased by 8.9% in April 2016 and by 10.2% since the beginning of the year.
