February 2014 traffic figures

In February 2014, Aéroports de Paris saw 6.2 million passengers; an increase of 4.9% on February 2013. 4.2 million passengers travelled through Paris-Charles de Gaulle (+3.4%) and 2.0 million through Paris-Orly (+8.1%).

It should be noted that passenger traffic in February 2013 was affected by heavy snowfall over France on 9 and 10 February. Furthermore, traffic in February 2014 benefited from a calendar effect due to the half-term holidays for schools in the Paris area, which were from 15 February to 3 March this year, as opposed to 2 to 18 March in 2013.

  • International traffic (excluding Europe) increased by 6.9%. All destinations were up: the Middle East (+11.2%); Africa (+10.5%); the French Overseas Territories (+5.2%); Latin America (+5.0%); North America (+4.4%) and Asia-Pacific (+3.2%);
  • European traffic (excluding France) was up by 5.1%;
  • Traffic within France posted slight growth (+0.2%);
  • The number of connecting passengers was down by 1.4%. The connecting rate stood at 24.6%, down by 1.8 points.

Since the beginning of 2014, Aéroports de Paris passenger traffic has seen growth of 5.3%, with a total of 12.8 million passengers. The number of connecting passengers is up by 2.0%. The connecting rate reached 26.1%, i.e. a decrease of 1.0 points.

Passenger traffic from TAV Airports, 38%-owned by Aéroports de Paris, increased by 15.6% in February 2014 and has risen by 18.7%since the beginning of the year.
