Aéroports de Paris April 2014 traffic figures

In April 2014, Aéroports de Paris saw 8.0 million passengers; an increase of 6.6% on April 2013. 5.5 million passengers travelled through Paris-Charles de Gaulle (+7.4%) and 2.5 million through Paris-Orly (+4.9%).

Traffic in April 2014 was mainly affected by a calendar effect due to Spring holidays dates for schools in the Paris area, which this year were from 12 to 28 April 2014, as opposed to 27 April to 12 May in 2013.

  • International traffic (excluding Europe) was up by 6.5%. All destinations posted growth: the Middle East (+15.8%); North America (+10.2%); Africa (+4.7%); the French Overseas Territories (+4.7%); Asia-Pacific (+ 1.9 %)and Latin America (+1.2%);
  • European traffic (excluding France) increased sharply by 9.5%;
  • Traffic within France posted slight growth (+0.2%);
  • The number of connecting passengers was up slightly (+0.6%). The connecting rate stood at 21.9%, down by 1.0 points.

Since the beginning of 2014, Aéroports de Paris passenger traffic has seen growth of 4.4%, with a total of 28.2 million passengers. The number of connecting passengers is up by 2.7%. The connecting rate has reached 24.8%; i.e. a decline of 0.3 points.

Passenger traffic at TAV Airports, 38%-owned by Aéroports de Paris, increased by 14.4% in April 2014 and has risen by 15.3% since the beginning of the year.
