Press Release
15 October 2014
In September 2014, Aéroports de Paris saw 7.2 million passengers; a decrease of 10.4% on September 2013. 4.9 million passengers travelled through Paris-Charles de Gaulle (-12.3%) and 2.3 million through Paris-Orly (-6.2%).
While passenger traffic continued its upward trend, rising to 4.4% at the Paris airports between 1 and 14 September 2014, the second half of September was strongly impacted by the Air France pilots' strike, which resulted in a drop in traffic at the Paris airports of around 60,000 passengers a day on average, compared to the same period in 2013.
Since the beginning of 2014, Aéroports de Paris passenger traffic remains up by 2.4%, with a total of 70.4 million passengers, which, at this stage, and taking into account traffic forecasts for the next 3 months, does not call into question traffic assumptions for 2014. The number of connecting passengers is down by 1.3%. The connecting rate stands at 22.9%, i.e. a decline of 0.9 points.
Passenger traffic at TAV Airports, 38%-owned by Aéroports de Paris, increased by 14.4% in September 2014 and has risen by 13.6%since the beginning of the year(1) .
