Aéroports de Paris July 2013 traffic figures

In July 2013, Aéroports de Paris saw 8.8 million passengers, a slight decrease of 0.4%, on July 2012. 6.0 million passengers travelled through Paris-Charles de Gaulle (-0.5%) and 2.8 million passengers through Paris-Orly (-0.2%).

It should be noted that traffic to Middle East and Africa decreased in July especially because of Ramadan (from 9 July to 8 August in 2013 vs. from 20 July to 19 August in 2012), which should result in a catch-up in August.

• International traffic (excluding Europe) was down by 1.9%, mainly due to lower traffic to destinations such as the Middle East (-3.0%) and Africa (-12.0%). Conversely, the French Overseas Territories (+12.1%), Asia-Pacific (+3.3%), North America (+2.8%) and Latin America (+1.9%) recorded growth.
• European traffic (excluding France) increased by 0.6%.
• Traffic within France was up by 0.4%.
• The number of connecting passengers rose by 3.9%. The connecting rate stood at 21.3%, up by 0.7 percentage points.

Since the beginning of 2013, Aéroports de Paris passenger traffic has seen modest growth of 0.4%, with a total of 51.8 million passengers. The number of connecting passengers has risen slightly, by 0.7%. The connecting rate has remained stable at 23.6%.

Passenger traffic at TAV Airports, 38%-owned by Aéroports de Paris, increased by 4.4% in July 2013 and has risen by 20.4% (1) since the beginning of the year.
