Aéroports de Paris September 2012 traffic figures

In September 2012, Aéroports de Paris passenger traffic remained stable compared to September 2011, with a total of 7.9 million passengers handled including 5.5 million at Paris-Charles de Gaulle (-0.4%) and 2.4 million at Paris-Orly (+1.0%).

  • International traffic (excluding Europe) increased slightly by 0.6% with good performance on African (+4.4%) and Latin American (+4.3%) routes. Traffic to and from The Middle East (+1.8%) and Asia-Pacific (+0.7%) recorded a moderate increase. North America declined sharply (-4.3%) following a reduction in capacity of flights offered by some airlines. French Overseas Territories decreased slightly by 0.6%.
  • European traffic (excluding France) was up by 1.1%.
  • Traffic within France decreased by 3.6%.
  • The number of connecting passengers was down by 0.7%. The connecting rate stood at 26.0%, up by 0.2 point.

Since the beginning of the year 2012, Aéroports de Paris passenger traffic increased by 1.3% with a total of 68.1 million passengers handled. The number of connecting passengers was up 3.4%, resulting in a connecting rate of 23.8%, an increase of 0.5 point. Traffic from TAV Airports, owned at 38% by Aéroports de Paris, increased by 35.4% over the same period.
