AEROPORTO MARCONI DI BOLOGNA CONCLUDES A NUMBER OF ACTIVITIES AND THE SIGNING OF AGREEMENTS TO OPTIMIZE THE GROUP'S FINANCIAL CHARGES

Aeroporto G. Marconi di Bologna S.p.A. today concludes a number of financial transactions overall aimed at optimizing the financial structure and improving the debt maturity profile, while including an ESG KPI Linked Loan to confirm the sustainable development path undertaken.

The operations, which will have, accounting effects by the end of the current month of September, consist, essentially, of the following:

  • o Subscription of a loan for 15 million euros granted by Crèdit Agricole Italia. This is an ESG KPI Linked Loan that provides a bonus on the contractually defined spread upon achievement of three ESG KPIs. In particular, commitments have been shared to progressively reduce the intensity of climate-altering gas emissions, coupled with increasing self-production of electricity from renewable sources. The financial covenants are aligned with those defined in the loan agreement signed with the European Investment Bank. This financing transaction, structured with a 60-month term, is largely aimed at supporting the airport management company's business plan.
  • o Voluntary early repayment, to be made on September 29, 2023, of the loan signed in July 2020 with Intesa Sanpaolo Spa of €33.9 million of amount with SACE guarantee. The objective of this operation is to contain financial charges, which, in addition to the increase in interest rates, would have seen, in the very short term, an increase in the SACE guarantee fee to 2%. The remaining term of the loan subject to voluntary early repayment would have been an additional 3 years.

The described operations, together with the EIB loan agreement signed in December 2021, allow the optimization of the financial structure and the improvement of the maturity profile of AdB's debt, in the path of sustainable development undertaken.
