Aega ASA: second quarter and first half-year financial results.

Aega ASA: second quarter and first half-year financial results.

31 August 2023

Aega ASA had revenues of EUR 919 thousand in the second quarter of 2023. This corresponds to an increase of 26.4% compared to the same quarter last year (Q2 2022 EUR 726 thousand). EBITDA was positive with EUR 443 thousand (238) and reflects the increased size of Aega's portfolio of solar parks.

"In the first half of 2023, our focus has largely been on optimised operations. These were the last six months with price caps on the electricity we sell, and we have now finished a 17-month long, and sometimes demanding, period with regulations. We have had all our nine solar parks in full operation during the period without major deviations", says Nils P. Skaset, CEO of Aega ASA.

"In addition, the situation in Italy is that electricity consumption is increasing, and we saw this year's highest electricity consumption on 18 July this summer. This is not surprising and underpins the need for both more capacity and a more secure local energy supply in Italy. Solar power is a stated strategy, and we therefore believe that the competition for solar parks will increase, as will the opportunities in our business going forward. We are a local operator with the necessary expertise on the ground and I am confident that we are well equipped to meet these opportunities", Skaset concludes.

Attached is the company's half-yearly report for 2023.
