ADVFN Plc ("ADVFN" or the "Company")
Result of AGM
The Company announces that its Annual General Meeting took place on Thursday 17 December 2015.
At the request of the Company's advisers, due to a technical issue it was decided to adjourn resolution one until a later date.
On advice given, the Company initially prepared its accounts on the basis that it could take advantage of the Financial Reporting Standard 101 ("FRS 101") Reduced Disclosure Framework.
However the Company has subsequently been advised that due to notification requirements relating to FRS 101, the Company is unable to take advantage of the Financial Reporting Standard 101 Reduced Disclosure Framework, and is re-issuing its year end accounts to comply with the full scope of International Financial Reporting Standards as adopted by the European Union (IFRSs) rather than FRS 101.
Accordingly, the Company announces that it intends to hold a General Meeting on 28 January 2016 and a circular, containing details of the amended resolution, will be sent to shareholders, in due course.
The financial information announced on 23 October 2015 is not impacted by the revisions and the previously reported results of the group and parent company are unchanged and as previously reported.
All other resolutions were duly passed.
In addition, the CEO of ADVFN, Clem Chambers, made the following statement:
"2016 will be a busy year for ADVFN with a tight focus on optimizing our business and the introduction of new functionality and products in our key markets."
