Perth, Australia, 5 July 2017 – Advanced braking Technology Limited (ASX:ABV), today announced the Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Braking Technology, Mr Graeme Sumner has resigned.

The Board believes that there is a requirement for a different set of skills and experience to substantially grow ABT from its current size. In particular the Board believes there is a significant opportunity in markets additional to the traditional mining sector. This belief has been reinforced by the recent market reaction to the new Terra Dura brake.

Accordingly, last financial year the Board retained the services of Mars Partners, Executive Search firm to seek out such an individual. As a result of this work, we are now at the short list stage.

The Board of ABT acknowledges the work that Mr Sumner has done over the last three and a half years restructuring the company and refocusing the business on its core mining customers.

This restructuring also involved shutting the assembly operations in Thailand and organising an Australian based supply chain.

The result of the above restructuring and refocusing has been a record level of sales for the financial year just ended. The company has also traded profitably for the final quarter of 2016/17.

The current contract with Mr Sumner requires a notice period of six months which will result in him leaving by the end of December 2017. The Board will consider reducing this period when a new CEO is found.

The Board assures shareholders of a smooth transition in the leadership of the company.
