The City of Swan is evaluating 2 trucks fitted with SIBS
Its Mayor Mr Charlie Zannino stated in a press release last week :
Extract –
The trial has been so successful, the City is investigating the possibility of extending the use of the SIBS across other vehicles in the City fleet. After six months of the trial, the brake pads show very low rates of wear, which should result in greatly reduced brake service down time and costs for the vehicles.
The results indicated only minimal wear whereas a standard truck would be close to or past its wear limit at this point. …..”
