Director Resignation & Appointment Mr Michael S. Perry & Mr Hanrui Zhong
Admiralty Resources NL (“the Company”) advises that Mr Michael S. Perry has resigned as Acting Chairman and Independent, Non-executive Director of the Company and that Mr Hanrui Zhong has been appointed Director of Admiralty. The cessation and appointment are effective on and from 21 June 2013.
Mr Perry’s Resignation
Mr Perry has been an independent Non-executive Director of the Company since 14 October 2009.
As an independent director, Mr Perry was unable to support the proposed future strategy for the company coming from Sino Investment & Holding Pty Ltd and the Directors recently appointed to the Board following Mr Wang Zhong's request.
The Board expresses its appreciation for the valuable guidance to Admiralty provided by Michael over his term as Director of the Company and wishes him well in the future.
Mr Zhong’s Appointment
Mr Hanrui Zhong, Acting General Manager since 21 May 2013, has been appointed Director of the Company effective on and from 21 June 2013.
Mr Zhong has a Masters Degree in Economics and has an extensive experience in executive positions in China and Hong Kong. During his career, Mr Zhong has been in charge of capital management and mining investments in China, Mexico and Australia.
Mr Zhong is currently a director of Taishan Resource Company in Mexico and a director and shareholder of Sino Investment & Holding Pty Ltd, a substantial holder of Admiralty since March 2010.
The Board welcomes Mr Zhong to the Board, whose appointment will strengthen the mining skills of the Board.
Acting Chairman
Mr Zexing Ling, Non-executive Director of the Company since 21 May 2013, is now the Acting Chairman.
