Holding in Company

Active Energy, the AIM-listed provider of processed wood product for biomass fuel and other applications, was notified on 12 January 2013 that following a purchase of 2,995,864 ordinary shares of 1p each ("Ordinary Shares"), Christopher Foster now holds a total of 13,415,838 Ordinary Shares in the Company, representing 5.65% of the issued share capital of the Company. Mr. Foster's holding includes shares held non-beneficially via Alpha Prospects Plc, a company of which he is a director and shareholder, and also includes shares held non-beneficially via Cinpart Employees Benefit Trust, of which he is a Trustee.
