CRIF REPORT Bengal, Assam, Odisha confront repayment stress in microloans

Around 47% of banks' MFI portfolio is concentrated in eastern region

THE EARLY DELINQUENCIES rate in microloans remained 6% higher than the pre-pandemic level during the third quarter of this fiscal, although it improved by over 7% from the second quarter. States like West Bengal, Assam, Odisha and Maharashtra were facing maximum re-payment stress, according to credit bureau CRIF High Mark.

Releasing the Microlend Report, a quarterly update on the microfinance lending landscape in India, on Thursday, CRIF said, "High re-payment stress has continued from the previous quarter with PAR (portfolio at risk) 31-180 reaching 12.7%, having maximum stress in West Bengal, Assam, Odisha and Maharashtra."

have witnessed maximum repayments stress as of Q3FY21. The Assam Microfinance Institutions (Regulation of Money Lending) Bill, 2020 has been introduced to regulate operations of microfinance institutions (MFIs) and ease stress in the sector.

Notably, collection efficiencies for microfinance players fell sharply in Assam in January after passing of the Bill by the state Assembly in December last year and talks of a possible waiver of microloans ahead of the state elections. Around 47% of banks' MFI portfolio is concentrated in eastern region, followed by 14% in south and 12.5% in west, CRIF added.

Notice is hereby given that the 85* Annual General Meeting ("AGM") of the Company is scheduled to be convened on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 3:00 pm IST through Video Conference ("VC")/ Other Audio Visual Means ("OAVM") facility as per the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 and Rules framed thereunder and the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 read with General Circular Nos.14/2020, 17/2020, 20/2020 and 02/2021 dated April 8, 2020, April 13, 2020, May 5, 2020 and January 13, 2021 respectively, issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs ("MCA Circulars") and Circular Nos. In reference to the RHP filed with the RoC, SEBI and the Stock Exchanges, read with the advertisement for announcement of the Price Band and the Minimum Bid Lot dated March 8, 2021 and published in all editions of Financial Express (a widely circulated English national daily newspaper), all editions of Jansatta (a widely circulated Hindi national daily newspaper) and all editions of Makkal Kural (a widely circulated Tamil regional daily newspaper, Tamil being the regional language in Coimbatore where our Registered Office is located) in relation to the Offer on March 9, 2021, and the Bid cum Application Forms and the Abridged Prospectus, investors should note the following:

Our Company has received an intimation dated March 10, 2021 from International Finance Corporation ("IFC"), one of the Selling Shareholders that, on March 10, 2021, IFC has transferred 402,432 Equity Shares for cash at a price of ₹1,490 per Equity Share, aggregating to ₹599.62 million, comprising of: (A) 108,000 Equity Shares to Profitex Shares & Securities Private Limited; (B) 160,000 Equity Shares to Shamyak Investment Private Limited; and (C) 134,432 Equity Shares to Pioneer Investment Fund ("IFC Transfers"). Further, our Company has received an intimation dated March 10, 2021, from Marina III (Singapore) Pte Limited ("Marina"), one of the Selling Shareholders that, on March 9, 2021, Marina has transferred 402,432 Equity Shares to Volrado Venture Partners Fund-II for cash at a price of ₹ 1,490 per Equity Share, aggregating to ₹599.62 million ("Marina Transfer", together with IFC Transfers, "Investor Selling Shareholders' Transfers").
Please note that the Equity Shares transferred pursuant to the Investor Selling Shareholders' Transfers shall be subject to lock-in for a period of one year from the date of Allotment in the Offer, in accordance with Regulation 17 of the SEBI ICDR Regulations provided that 402,432 Equity Shares transferred to Volrado Venture Partners Fund-II shall be locked-in for a period of at least one year from the date of purchase such Equity Shares.
Pursuant to the Investor Selling Shareholders' Transfers, please note the following:
(a) With respect to the disclosures made in the section "Summary of the Offer Document" on page 18 of the RHP, in the table on the aggregate pre-Offer Shareholding of Promoter, Promoter Group and Selling Shareholders, the Equity Shares and the percentage of Equity Share capital held by IFC stands modified to reflect the IFC Transfers and shall be read as 2,425,668 Equity Shares and 12.06%. (b) With respect to disclosures made in the section "Summary of Offer Document" on pages 20 and 21 of the RHP, in the table of average cost of acquisition of the Equity Shares for IFC and Marina, the number of Equity Shares held by IFC and the average cost of acquisition per Equity Share for IFC stands modified to reflect the IFC Transfers and shall be read as 2,425,668 Equity Shares and ₹ 186.42 per Equity Share, respectively. Further, an eligible Member may participate in the AGM even after exercising his right to vote through remote E-voting but shall not vote again during the AGM. नंदीग्राममधील निवडणूक प्रचारादरम्यान हल्ल्यात जखमी झालेल्या मुख्यमंत्री ममता बॅनर्जी यांना योग्य ती सुरक्षा पुरवण्यात अपयशी ठरल्याबद्दल तृणमूल काँग्रेसने गुरुवारी निवडणूक आयोगावर टीका केली. निवडणूक होत असलेल्या पश्चिम बंगालमधील कायदा व सुव्यवस्थेची जबाबदारी सध्या निवडणूक आयोगावर असल्यामुळे तो ही जबाबदारी टाळू शकत नाही, असे पक्षाने सांगितले. हा हल्ला म्हणजे 'तृणमूलच्या सर्वोच्च नेत्याचा जीव घेण्यासाठीचा कट होता', असा दावा पक्षाच्या

घडवन आणण्यासाठी शेजारच्या राज्यांतून समाजकंटकांना नंदीग्राममध्ये आणले असल्याचा आरोपही त्यांनी केला निवडणूक आयोग भाजप नेत्यांच्या 'आदेशानुसार' काम करत असल्याचा आरोप तृणमूलच्या आयोगाच्या शिष्टमंडळाने अधिकाऱ्यांची भेट घेतल्यानंतर केला. बॅनर्जी यांच्यावर हल्ला होऊ शकतो याची कल्पना असतानाही निवडणूक आयोगाने काहीच केले

तृणमूल काँग्रेसचे नेते रोख सुफियान यांनी नोंदवलेल्या तक्रारीच्या आधारे, पश्चिम बंगालच्या मुख्यमंत्री ममता बॅनर्जी यांच्यावरील कथित हल्ल्याप्रकरणी गुरुवारी गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आला.

चुकीच्या पद्धतीने अटकाव करणे आणि हेतपरस्सर जखमी करणे या कलमांखाली भादंविनुसार हा गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आल्याचे पूर्व मेदिनीपुर जिल्ह्याच्या एका वरिष्ठ पोलीस अधिकाऱ्याने सांगितले. 'आम्हाला सुफियान यांची तक्रार मिळाली. आहे. आमचा तपास आधीच सुरू झाला असून आम्ही पुरावे गोळा करत आहोत', असे हा अधिकारी म्हणाला.

जिल्हा दंडाधिकारी विभु गोयल व पोलीस अधीक्षक यांच्यासह इतर अधिकाऱ्यांनी बिरुलिया बाजार भागातील घटनास्थळाला भेट दिली. त्यांनी प्रत्यक्षदर्शी साक्षीदारांशी संवाद साधला, तसेच घटनाक्रम नेमका कसा घडला याची शहानिशा करण्यासाठी या भागातील सीसी

कोलकाता : नंदीग्राम येथील कथित हल्ल्यात ममता बॅनर्जी यांना झालेल्या जखमांवरून आम्ही कुठल्याही प्रकारचे राजकारण करणार नाही; मात्र ममता यांनी यामाने कट असल्याचा आरोप केल्यामुळे या घटनेची सखोल चौकशी करावी. अञ्ची मागणी बंगाल भाजपने केली आहे

तृणमूलसोबतचा आमचा लढा राजकीय आणि वैचारिक स्वरूपाचा, तसेच विकासाच्या मुद्द्यांवर आहे, असे सांगून भाजपचे प्रवक्ते सामिक भट्टाचार्य यांनी ममतांना लवकर बऱ्या होण्यासाठी श्रुभेच्छा दिल्या. त्या लवकरात लवकर निवडणुकीच्या रिंगणात परत येतील अशी भाजपला आशा असल्याचेही ते म्हणाले. 'मुख्यमंत्र्यांच्या जखमांवरून आम्ही कुठल्याही प्रकारचे राजकारण करणार नाही. त्या लवकर बऱ्या व्हाव्यात आणि राजकीय व्यासपीठावर परत याव्यात अशी आम्ही प्रार्थना करतो', असे भट्टाचार्य यांनी येथील पक्ष मुख्यालयात घेतलेल्या पत्रकार परिषढ़ेत सांगितले. पक्षाचे स्थानिक कार्यकते आणि प्रत्यक्षदर्शी साक्षीदार यांच्याकडून मिळालेल्या माहितीनुसार हा अपघात होता; मात्र स्वतः मुख्यमंत्र्यांनी हा कट असल्याचा आरोप केल्यामुळे त्याची उच्चस्तरीय चौकशी होणे आवश्यक आहे, असे भट्टाचार्य म्हणाले.

केदारनाथ मंदिर १७ मे रोजी खुले

डेहराडून : चारधामपैकी केदारनाथ मंदिराची कपाटे भाविकांसाठी १७ मे रोजी खुली होतील, असे उत्तराखंड चारधाम देवस्थान व्यवस्थापन मंडळाने गुरुवारी सांगितले.

हिवाळ्यात भगवान शिवाच्या मूर्ती उखीमठ येथील ओंकारेश्वार मंदिरात ठेवल्या जातात, तेथून त्या १४ मे रोजी हलवल्या जातील आणि त्यानंतर प्रसिद्ध केदारनाथ मंदिर १७ मे रोजी पहाटे ५ वाजेपासून भाविकांसाठी पुन्हा खुले होईल. गेल्या वर्षी १६ नोव्हेंबरला हे मंदिर बंद करण्यात आले होते. गेल्या वर्षी १९ नोव्हेंबरला बंद करण्यात आलेले बद्रीनाथ मंदिर १८ मे रोजी भाविकांसाठी खुले करण्यात येईल, तर गंगोत्री व यमुनोत्री मंदिरे १४ मे रोजी खुली केली जातील.
