Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.

As previously announced, on January 21, 2015, Matthew Vella, Chief Executive Officer of Acacia Research Corporation (the “Company”), hosted a conference call to discuss the ruling received by Adaptix, Inc., a subsidiary of the Company, in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California on January 20th, 2015 relating to pending patent cases. The conference call was announced by a widely disseminated press release and was made available to the public via audio webcast. A transcript of the conference call is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
