AUSTRALIAN BAUXITE LIMITED ASX: ABX

About Australian Bauxite Limited ASX Code ABX

Australian Bauxite Limited (ABx) is establishing its first mine in Tasmania and holds the core of the Eastern Australian Bauxite Province. ABx’s 37 bauxite tenements in Queensland, New South Wales & Tasmania exceed 5,000km[2] and were rigorously selected for (1) good quality bauxite; (2) near infrastructure connected to export ports; & (3) free of socio-environmental constraints.

All tenements are 100% owned, unencumbered & free of 3[rd] party royalties.

ABx’s discovery rate is increasing as its technology & expertise grows.

The Company’s bauxite is gibbsite trihydrate bauxite with low silica contamination and can be processed into alumina at low temperature – the type in short supply globally.

ABx has declared JORC Mineral Resources at Binjour in central QLD, Inverell & Guyra in northern NSW, Taralga in southern NSW and in northern Tasmania, confirming that ABx has discovered significant bauxite deposits including some of outstandingly high quality.

The Company’s first bauxite mine at Bald Hill, Tasmania commenced operations on schedule in late 2014 – the first new bauxite mine in Australia for more than 35 years, with first shipment targeted for early 2nd quarter 2015.

ABx aspires to identify large bauxite resources in the Eastern Australian Bauxite Province, which is emerging as a globally significant bauxite province. ABx has created significant bauxite developments in 3 states - Queensland, New South Wales & Tasmania. Its bauxite deposits are favourably located for direct shipping of bauxite to both local & export customers.

ABx endorses best practices on agricultural land, strives to leave land & environment better than we find it.

We only operate where welcomed.

Robert has had experience in a range of resources companies from the largest in the world, mid level producers to exploration-driven juniors. He has held senior executive roles at BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, Coffey Mining, EMED Mining, Gympie Gold in Queensland and Henty Gold Mine in Tasmania among others. Rob Williams and his family live in Tasmania.

He joins ABx, having worked the last five years in Spain where he was Project and Operations Director for the Rio Tinto Copper Mine and Group Chief Development Officer.

“Robert joins ABx as we enter an exciting period of growth. Our Bald Hill Mine in Tasmania has been developing on schedule since 9 December; mining operations are well underway and screening of final product has commenced.” Chief Operating Officer, Leon Hawker said.

“We continue to make additional discoveries of bauxite deposits in Tasmania and several of them are in favourable locations for rapid approval, production and low cost delivery to the Bell Bay export port.

“During 2015, ABx will also explore its other significant bauxite projects, in particular the Binjour bauxite province in central Queensland. If exploration is successful, Rob will be instrumental in developing and commercialising these major projects, capitalising on the experience of producing and selling bauxite from the Bald Hill Bauxite Project in Tasmania.”
