Directorate Change

The Company notes that Kevin Parry OBE will be appointed Chairman of Royal London Group with effect from 1 January 2019, and announces that Kevin will stand down from the Board of Standard Life Aberdeen plc on 31 December 2018.  Kevin has been a non-executive director of the Company since October 2014.  He serves as the Company's Senior Independent Director and was the Chairman of the Audit Committee until August 2017.

Sir Gerry Grimstone, Chairman, said: "On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Kevin for his service to Standard Life Aberdeen.  Kevin played a very important part in the transformation of our Company and I wish him every success for the future".

Following this change, on 1 January 2019 the Board will comprise four executive directors, seven non-executive directors and the Chairman, and will be made up of three women and nine men.
