Abacus Leases Majority of Santos Space at Westpac House

Abacus is pleased to announce that the South Australian Government has committed to lease approximately 10,000sqm of office accommodation at Westpac House (formerly Santos House) in Adelaide. The initial lease term is five years.

When added to a number of smaller leases that have recently been signed or are about to be signed, Abacus has now leased approximately 80% of the former Santos space.

Abacus Managing Director, Dr Frank Wolf, said that the progress at Westpac House had been very pleasing in recent months, with strong enquiry levels for the vacant space.

“We always believed that Westpac House would be an attractive proposition for commercial tenants given the building’s stature as the pre-eminent office building in Adelaide. We are confident that the remaining space on the upper levels of the building will be leased in the near term.”

Abacus owns Westpac House jointly with Orchard Funds Management.
