Share Purchase by Chief Executive

Cairn announces that on 11 December 2018, Simon Thomson, the Company's Chief Executive, purchased 31,812 Ordinary Shares of 231/169 pence each in the Company at a price of £1.56 per share.

Following this purchase, Mr Thomson's beneficial interest in the Ordinary Shares of the Company is as follows:-
