EuropaCorp answers market rumors

Saint-Denis, January 23rd, 2018 – The Company has noticed various market rumors concerning the pursuit of its restructuration and the existence of counterfeiting relating to Arthur trilogy.

Regarding strategic and financing matters, EuropaCorp confirms the terms of its press release issued on November 24, 2017.

The Company's strategy is to refocus on core business: production of English-language feature films of up to 2 to 3 films per year, production of 2 French-language feature films per year, production of English-language TV series, distribution of films and international sales.

Within this scope, the Group has already announced the sale of certain non-strategic assets and the launch of an employment preservation plan. Besides, the Group confirms that it has started discussions with various financial and/or business partners in order to reinforce its financial capacities. These discussions are in progress and will last as long as needed, the structure of a potential deal is not decided and none of the potential partners have exclusivity yet.

Regarding artistic matters, the Group points out that the comments issued in the press a few months ago about a potential counterfeiting from EuropaCorp and Luc Besson, notably concerning Arthur trilogy, are void. The Paris Court of Appeal confirmed on January 19, 2018, the secondary nature of the contribution of Messrs. Rouchier, Bouchelaghem, Cepo and Fructus, the perfect validity of every contract and the absence of any counterfeiting. The secondary designers have been sentenced to bear the costs of the proceedings and to 12.000 euros of damages.
