New SME offers
**Sunrise Business is supporting SMEs this Christmas season
**
«The Christmas season is entering its hot phase. SMEs generally, but now more than ever, can’t afford to be affected by any disruption to their connectivity, payment processing issues or vulnerabilities in their cybersecurity. At the same time, professional marketing of what you have to offer during the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season is especially important. We have three new solutions on offer to provide targeted support to SMEs during this crucial period,» says Thorsten Haeser, Chief Business Officer at Sunrise.
Imagine you’ve got customers standing impatiently in a long queue. The Internet isn’t working properly, the IT systems aren’t responding. The cash register system and electronic payment processing are also affected – and customers don’t carry any cash with them. You’re frantically trying to identify the source of the error and hoping that you don’t have a cyber attack on your hands.
While a scenario of this magnitude may seem unlikely, the risks are nevertheless real. That’s why Sunrise Business is offering three new products to protect SMEs from exactly this kind of scenario and provide them with the right support.
Secure connectivity, transparent transactions
Cashless payments continue to be on the rise. This was one of the conclusions reached at the second round table on cash. Current examples like the Christmas market at Zurich Central Station show the impact this can have on daily life. There was some discussion that cash payments shouldn’t be accepted at the Christmas market. Even though this concept was ultimately rejected, scenarios like this mean that retailers and restaurateurs are also relying on a stable payment infrastructure for their day-to-day business. With SME Ready Connect & Pay , Sunrise Business recently launched a new combo package that’s intended to provide some relief, especially for smaller retailers and service providers like beauty salons and restaurants.
The solution combines Internet and calling solutions from Sunrise Business with a card terminal from Nexi. What this mean for SMEs is a reliable Internet connection throughout their premises to allow them to carry out their day-to-day business. Several parallel telephone lines ensure that reservations, orders and supplier enquiries can be processed simultaneously. And thanks to the partnership with Nexi, customers not only benefit from a modern and mobile card terminal, but also from favourable and transparent fees for debit and credit card transactions .
And the best thing about this combo offer is the solutions are preconfigured, which means you don’t need any in-house IT expertise to set them up. If support is still required, the relevant customer service is available in three national languages.
The offer is presented perfectly
Another vital component to be successful during this crucial sales period is visibility, which means effectively marketing your own products and services among all the offers out there. And because pictures tell you more than a thousand words, screens provide a particularly good way of doing this. With Digital Signage , Sunrise Business also offers a suitable solution that can be used immediately, thanks to preconfigured players and an intuitive user interface. The content on the screens can be adapted and updated flexibly in real time – via a central, cloud-based platform – to reflect individual requirements. The available templates ensure that content can be presented professionally even without design expertise.
Identify and close IT security gaps
As SMEs increasingly digitise their business operations, one thing remains important: the security of data and applications. According to the latest study «SME Cybersecurity 2025», one in 25 companies has fallen victim to a cyber attack this year. At the same time, the study reveals that only two-fifths of SMEs surveyed are well prepared for an attack. To assist SMEs in this regard, Sunrise Business has now added the Cyber-Risk Discovery solution to its portfolio.
Cyber-Risk Discovery provides SMEs with a risk analysis of their external digital presence at a fixed price of CHF 990.– per year. In addition to domains and subdomains, cloud services, networks, web apps, accidentally accessible databases and darknet sources are also analysed. This identifies any digital vulnerabilities, highlights the urgent need to remediate them and provides recommendations on how to do this. In addition, customers have 24/7 expert support available for the duration of the contract. Once the vulnerabilities identified by the check have been remedied by the customer, a second check provides certainty as to whether the security gaps have been closed effectively.
With its three new solutions – SME Ready Connect & Pay, Digital Signage and Cyber-Risk Discovery – Sunrise Business is ensuring that SMEs aren’t just well placed to enjoy a successful Christmas season, but are also perfectly equipped for the future. Sunrise Business is thus underlining its efforts to support SMEs with innovative solutions that are tailored specifically to their needs. They’re easy to implement and flexible – giving SMEs more time to focus on their core business.
