Eiffage, through its subsidiary Eiffage Construction, has acquired Priora AG, a leading construction company in German-speaking Switzerland.
Priora AG, which was founded in 1992, generates annual revenue of some 400 million Swiss Francs (about 340 million euros). Its activity covers new construction and renovation in the residential market (60%), the tertiary sector (30%) and public infrastructure (10%). Priora AG is also developing its business in property development on behalf of property owners.
This transaction will enable Priora AG to continue its growth.
This acquisition, negotiated one-on-one, is in line with Eiffage's European development strategy and strengthens the Group's position in Switzerland, following its acquisition in 2016 of the Yerly group, specialising in thermal engineering.
Eiffage is a one of Europe's leading construction and concessions companies. The Group's activities are organised on the basis of the following business lines: construction, real estate and urban development, civil engineering, metal and roads, energy and concessions. Thanks to the experience of 65,000 employees, Eiffage generated revenues of 15 billion euros in 2017, including 21% outside France.
Eiffage Construction incorporates the complementary businesses of urban planning, property development, construction, facility management and maintenance. The company is strongly established in France with nine regional division and its Major Projects division, as well as in Benelux, Switzerland, Portugal and Poland. With a workforce of 11,100 employees, Eiffage Construction generated revenues of €3.75 billion in 2017.
