Saint-Gobain has announced the modernization and extension of its ISOVER plant's stone wool production line in Ploiesti, Romania, due to come on stream in the second half of 2019. This renovation will considerably increase the plant's production capacity, taking it up to 30,000 tons a year, and extend its range of products for the Romanian market and neighboring countries. It will also enable Saint-Gobain to strengthen its positions on the insulation market and meet the rising growth in demand in South-East Europe.
Saint-Gobain ISOVER has run operations on its Ploiesti site since 1997, with a glass wool line currently being modernized and due to start up in July 2018, and a stone wool line.
