Excluding Construction, APRR's consolidated revenue totalled €588.5 million in the first quarter of 2018, an increase of 6.5% from €552.5 million in the first quarter of 2017.

Overall traffic, measured by the number of kilometres travelled, increased by 4.8% yearon-year in the first quarter of 2018. It benefited during the month of January 2018 from the integration of two new sections on February 1st, 2017.

Light vehicles traffic increased 4.5% during the first quarter. It benefitted from very favourable calendar effects such as the positioning of the Christmas vacations and the Easter weekend as well as the good snow level in the Alps.

Heavy goods vehicle traffic increased by 6.0% compared to the first quarter of 2017.

Tariffs

Tariffs are subject to an annual revision contractually agreed with the State. This year for APRR and AREA, it has led to an average increase from 1 st February 2018 onwards of 2.00% and 2.04% respectively for light vehicles.

(*) Reminder: the application of IFRIC 12 from 1 January 2009 requires the recognition of revenue generated by Construction activities, which corresponds to infrastructure construction services performed by the concession operator for the account of the concession grantor, this work being entrusted to third parties and recognised using the percentage of completion method.
